I don't think Lidl has made it her to Oz. We do have Aldi but the most recommended wines don't make it to my local store in the outer east of Melbourne. I have tried a few wine for around $A12 - good value.
Nice round-up, Helena agree about the Greco Beneventano, it's really good as is the Aglianico, I think Helen flagged it up on this week's Saturday Kitchen. That Cepa Lebrel has been around for a while, and I still can't believe the price for a pretty authentic tasting Rioja, can't say that about a lot of the Supermarket Rioja's, although I am a big fan of Tesco's Vina Mara
